There should be a section for book reviews, review of laws that apply to photography-
appreciated V1 review
Thomas,
Thanks for your comment. We intended to do book review from time to time as appropriate. We will have a book review coming up very soon.
As for laws of photography, we don’t intended to teach or repeat basics of photography, although we may touch those topics from time to time. The Image Doctors already covered a lot of that territory, and we would to continue everyones education creative inspirations in new directions!
The following is from undeliverable e-mails sent using addresses (info@photoprofessors.org and rickpaul@photoprofessors.org) published in the Nikonians Newsletter …
It would be nice if, when a podcast is announced in the Nikonians Newsletter, it stated a) how much time needs to be set aside to listen to it, and b) what subject(s) it will cover. Even after clicking on the “direct download” link and going to the MP3 webpage, there was no information to help decide me whether or not to sit through. So I didn’t.
BTW, I first sent this to info@photoprofessors.org but I got an error message saying that there was no connection to the mail exchange.
Hello Ron,
thank you very much for your feedback. We will look into it. Next show also will have timing information.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate that.

Great start guys and Thanks You!
A good start, guys. It must be challenging to take this responsibility over, and I wish you luck.
The V1 review was interesting, especially the speed of shooting capabilities which I hadn’t been aware of before. To be perfectly honest it did sound a very enthusiastic review, and I think many of us are reserving some judgement just yet… Anyway, a good topic to start on!
It was nice to hear from Jason again – a handin-on of the torch, I guess.
Thanks, RIchard! The February Podcast is coming soon!
Great to hear you guys ! I thoroughly enjoyed the show and loved the three part format. Looking forward to #2!
Listened to the first Photo Professors podcast a couple of times, both times I fell asleep before it ended. There just does not seem to be any chemistry between the hosts, maybe it is the fact that they are in two different places, and can’t see and react to or feed off each other. there does not seem to be any enthusiasm in their voices either, they seem to be just going through the motions and it really came through in this podcast.
I give credit where credit is due, so I applaud you stepping up to bring us a replacement to the Image Doctors. Perhaps this is just a little bit of first show jitters and needing to work out the kinks of a new show. I really want to like this podcast, and look forward to hearing it grow and become a part of the Nikonians tradition of great information.
I’ll continue to listen, I hope it just gets a bit more exciting than this past show.
Just wanted to wish you guys great success on your new venture and thank you for doing this.
I would love to see some time devoted to the artistic/creative side of photography (not necessarily post-processing). Perhaps looking at other visual arts (painting, sculpture, drawing…) for concepts and inspiration. There must me legions of these creative geniuses whose unique styles have applicability to our art form.
How about photographers who use their medium to call attention to different issues (social environmental) without political posturing.
Finally, Rick H., we met at Yosemite a couple of years ago. You might dedicate several shows a year to looking at part of your arsenal. By now, I am sure you have hired a sherpa to help carry some of your stuff.?
Looking forward to this. Again, thanks.
Peter,
Thanks for your comments. You’re right on track with drawing inspiration from other sources. That is as aspect we intend to touch upon, and why part of the podcast is dedicated to an “inspire” section! We would welcome any listeners suggestions in this area!
